This is how the RA pad looks under sunlight. Note how it is translucent and there's clear evidence of pressure marks over time.
Even though the pad was completely dry, I still think this is a major culprit for the slippage I'm seeing in RA.
I swapped it with the DEC pad which didn't have this look. It was also a thicker pad!
Update: After doing this change, I ran the mount last night and was disappointed to see that nothing really changed.
Will try again and see what I find.
